History of Innovation

A legacy of adaptation since 1974.
Founded by Ingersoll Rand veterans Jack Grace and Ed Hoyle, OTS has participated in every major shift in manufacturing technology for more than fifty years — growing through strategic acquisitions and expansions into the unified organization serving the Industrial Heartland today.

  • 2000 — POCA team acquisition, broadening engineering depth and customer base.
  • Pre-1970s — Manual hand tools & precision mechanical torquing.
  • 1970s–1980s — Air tools & the pneumatics revolution; original AOK clutch & limit-switch frameworks.
  • 2000s–2010s — Digital integration & intelligent fastening; DC tools and data-driven engine line tracking.
